This course gives students a hands-on experience synthesizing and using protein-small molecule conjugates to visualize extracellular proton accumulation and depletion. This course is based on Bill Kobertz laboratory’s newest and unpublished reagent (WGA-pHRho); thus, it has not been taught before. The lab will be ~ 3 hrs a day, depending on the successes and/or failures of the experiments.
