Jose Martinez Oyanedel, structural biophysic has been involved in crystallographic analysis of proteins to establish the structure-function relationship. Has been involved in the development of protein crystallography in Chile, is author of several crystal structure deposited in the Protein Data Bank and publications on protein crystallography. Since 1991 is academic in the Departamento de Bioquimica y Biologia Molecular from Universidad de Concepción. In the last time the research has been direct to build a model of the phycobilisome from Gracilaria chilensis, solving the protein structure that are presents in this macromolecular structure.
