Dear Colleagues,
It is our great pleasure to invite you to participate in Emerging Concepts in Ion Channel Biophysics, a Biophysical Society thematic meeting, with additional support from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). This meeting will be held October 10-13, 2017, in Mexico City.
The meeting will highlight recent discoveries in the field of structure and function of ion channels and transporters. We will be honored to host experts from all around the world who will speak based on their expertise to address emerging themes on the study of ion channels. These specifically include talks on high-resolution techniques to study the structure of ion channels and transporters, as well as on new methods and concepts to understand the gating, modulation, and roles of ion channels in physiology and disease.
The attendees, particularly students and junior researchers, will be provided with a positive and informal environment for interaction with the leaders in the field to stimulate the exchange of ideas and foster collaborations among them.
Please visit the website for a detailed program and list of speakers. We encourage you to share this information with colleagues and students who may be interested in attending.
Please note that the deadline to submit an abstract is May 26, 2017, and the deadline to register at the discounted early registration rate is June 23, 2017. Abstract submission is free and short talks will be selected from among submitted abstracts.
We look forward to seeing you in Mexico City.
