A familiar scenario: Biophysics. You love it. You have committed your career to it. But your colleague working down the hall still doesn’t really understand what it is.
Here’s your chance to share your love of biophysics AND educate others about the amazing things biophysics allows us to study and understand. Plan a Biophysics Week Event! This is the second annual Biophysics Week, and the first was a great success.
Biophysics Week will take place March 6-10, 2017. The intent of the week is to make people aware of the field of biophysics, celebrate its accomplishments, and foster relationships within the biophysics community.
We invite you to plan a Biophysics Week activity—such as a seminar, webinar, information session, lab tour, open house, pizza party—it could be anything that brings people together (physically or virtually!) in the name of biophysics. The Biophysical Society will advertise the event on its website, in member communications, and through social media.
The Society will also be sponsoring several events, many that are taking place virtually. As those events are finalized, we will share that information with you.
As an added bonus, event organizers who register their event with the Biophysical Society by January 15, 2017, will be entered into a drawing to win free registration to the Biophysical Society 2018 meeting in San Francisco, California.
Join our efforts to promote the field of biophysics. March will be here before you know it!
Events can be registered here.
