The Department of Bioengineering at Rice University, located in Houston, TX, seeks applications for a tenure-track faculty position with a start date of July, 2017.
Rice offers an outstanding environment for research at the interface of bioengineering, medicine, and biology with strong collaborations with the adjacent Texas Medical Center. The department invites candidates in all areas of bioengineering research, particularly in systems & synthetic biology, novel experimental approaches to develop and characterize 3D model systems, and biomaterials & tissue engineering.
Candidates will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses and to establish a strong bioengineering research program. Candidates at the assistant professor level are preferred, although outstanding candidates at all levels will be considered. All candidates must have a Ph.D. degree in bioengineering or a related field, conferred by November 1, 2017.
