Dear TYAN members,
TYAN has a vision of “A world connected by scientific cooperation” and our mission is “To catalyse interdisciplinary R&D collaborations to address global challenges”.
At the 2nd meeting of the executive committee (EC) of TYAN in Beijing this June, EC members agreed that a dedicated part of the TYAN budget would be used to facilitate the building of strong and sustainable collaborations that will help TYAN realize its vision.
We were strongly encouraged by the level of scientific interactions during the inaugural TYAN conference in Rio and felt that this needs to translate into real partnerships that will enhance our respective research areas to advance science.
In line with this, and supported by Dr Max Paoli and Prof Murenzi, we are very pleased to announce a new grant scheme by TYAN called the TYAN Collaborative Grant Awards (TCGA). TCGA, which aims to fuel the development of new and sustainable collaborations is now open for applications.
Information on the criteria and process for application is attached for your perusal.
Kind regards,
TYAN Executive Committee
